No longer suspended
Fernandez-Pardo is no longer suspended and is an option for his club moving forward.
Analysis: Fernandez is no longer on the sidelines for Lille after a ban from last season carried over to the opener for the 2026/27 campaign. The forward earned decent time last campaign with his eight goals and five assists in 29 appearances (27 starts), so he could see important time. However, he has been a name swirling in transfer rumors, raising a question to weather he will remain with the club.
Four chances created off bench
Fernandez-Pardo generated two shots (zero on goal), two crosses (one accurate) and four chances created in Friday's 5-1 victory versus New Zealand.
Analysis: Fernandez-Pardo started Friday's 5-1 win over New Zealand on the bench before coming on in the second half as manager Rudi Garcia rotated his attacking options with the result already wrapped up. He entered with Belgium firmly in control but still made the most of his 34-minute cameo, recording two shots (none on target), four chances created, two tackles and two crosses. Fernandez-Pardo and Belgium now head into the Round of 32 after finishing atop Group G.
