Leads team in clearances Saturday
Tah generated one tackle (one won), four clearances and one interception in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Cote D'ivoire.
Analysis: Tah delivered a variety of contributions on his own half of the field, even though Germany were once again unable to leave their goal unbeaten during the win. He played the full 90 minutes this time, as it was his center-back partner, Nico Schlotterbeck (ankle), who had to make way for Antonio Rudiger. Thus, Tah now seems to be the safest starter in the middle of the defense if he avoids rotation in the final group-stage clash, offering aerial strength against most opposition.
Quiet match Sunday
Tah recorded a chance created and one clearance in Sunday's 7-1 win over Curacao.
Analysis: Tah had a relatively quiet match Sunday as Germany controlled much of the game, although he and Germany could not maintain the clean sheet. He would record 73 minutes during the game, having been replaced by Antonio Rudiger. Tah should maintain the starting role moving forward in the tournament, a key defender for the German squad.
