Creates one chance in loss
Scally sent in four crosses (one accurate) and created one chance in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Turkiye.
Analysis: Scally produced a hardworking but below-par performance by his usual standards. He wasn't directly responsible for any of Turkiye's three goals, yet he also wasn't able to impose himself defensively or provide the stability the United States needed on the right side. In a heavily rotated lineup that lacked chemistry, Scally was one of several defenders who struggled against Turkiye's movement and technical quality. Look for Sergino Dest to resume his starting role in Wednesday's Round of 32 bout with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Helps Gladbach to clean sheet
Scally crossed once inaccurately and made five tackles (winning two) during Saturday's 4-0 win over Hoffenheim.
Analysis: Scally was a part of the Gladbach back line that kept a clean sheet Saturday leading his side in tackles. Scally ends the year with 29 starts across 32 Bundesliga appearances while having five goal involvements, 48 crosses and 48 tackles.
