Two shots in 2-0 loss
Aouar recorded two shots (one on goal) and two chances created in Thursday's 2-0 loss versus Switzerland.
Analysis: Aouar was unable to help his side find the back of the net as they lost 2-0 to Switzerland and exited the World Cup. The wide player maintained his starting role after assisting twice against Austria, which helped them progress to the knockout stage. In this game, he created two more chances, but none ended in an assist. He had a great early chance, but was unable to wrap his foot around it sufficiently to get a good strike on the ball.
Starts, assists twice in draw
Aouar assisted twice to go with zero corners and three chances created in Saturday's 3-3 draw against Austria.
Analysis: Aouar logged his first two assists in the World Cup during Algeria's draw to Austria in the last group stage match. That was his first start and second appearance. The midfielder led his side in chances created before subbing off in the 89th minute.
