Kylian Mbappé

Mbappe scored two goals to go with five shots (three on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and two chances created in Sunday's 4-1 victory over Sevilla.

Analysis: Mbappe made his usual impact up front, which led him to draw and score a penalty kick in the 63rd minute while capitalizing on another close-range chance in the 37th against Sevilla. The star forward's attacking display was marred only by an error that led to the opposition's lone goal late in the game. His nine league goals now rank him ahead of Lamine Yamal and three short of Raphinha in the race for the scoring lead. He should continue to play a central role in the Merengues' attack in a tough week that will put his talent to the test with clashes against RB Leipzig and Barcelona in European and league action, respectively.

Fully fit for Villarreal clash

Mbappe (knee) trained normally with the rest of the squad Thursday and will be available for Saturday's La Liga clash against Villarreal, according to El Partidazo de COPE.

Analysis: Mbappe appears to have fully recovered from the knee issue he picked up during the international break, having participated in consecutive team training sessions without any reported setbacks. The forward's return to full fitness puts him firmly in contention to retain his starting role against Villarreal, providing Real Madrid with a significant offensive boost. While the club could still manage his workload ahead of the upcoming UCL clash against Roma on Wednesday, his unrestricted participation in training suggests he should be ready to feature from the opening whistle Saturday.
