At 1.73 meters, Silva is expected to operate either in support of Jude Bellingham or on the right wing under coach Jose Mourinho's anticipated 4-2-3-1 system, with the central midfield positions likely reserved for Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde. The Lisbon-born midfielder came through the Benfica academy before loan and permanent moves to Monaco, where he won the Ligue 1 title in 2016-17, before establishing himself as a Manchester City legend. His arrival at the Bernabeu represents one of the most significant signings of the summer transfer window.
