Inefficient against Switzerland
Rodriguez registered five crosses (zero accurate) and four corners in Tuesday's 0-0 (4-3) penalty shootout loss against Switzerland.
Analysis: Rodriguez fell short of expectations during the entire World Cup, and it wasn't any different in Tuesday's shootout loss. The 34-year-old attacker racked up creative numbers from set pieces, but he didn't make a single direct contribution over five games and was constantly subbed off for Juan Quintero. With injuries and inconsistency limiting his performance recently, Rodriguez's future remains unclear as his contract with Minnesota United has expired.
Plays 45
Rodriguez recorded one cross, a corner and one tackle in Friday's match against Ghana.
Analysis: Rodriguez was brought off at half for Colombia on Friday as they went for a more defensive look in the second half, a decision the veteran midfielder didn't look happy with. He would see minimal work despite having the lead when he exited, notching 27 completed passes in his time on the field. He will likely remain a starter in future games, likely set on playing more than 45 with tougher matches ahead.
