Still unavailable against Leeds
Shaw (undisclosed) is absent from Manchester United's squad for Sunday's Premier League meeting with Leeds United.
Analysis: Shaw has not recovered sufficiently from the injury he sustained during the 1-1 draw against Tottenham, in which he recorded five interceptions and five clearances. The experienced defender also missed Tuesday's Champions League defeat against Atletico Madrid and will now sit out another fixture. With Ayden Heaven also unavailable, Lenny Yoro has been handed the starting role at full-back against Leeds. Shaw's return date remains uncertain, leaving United without one of their regular defensive options until he regains full fitness.
Could return against Fulham
Shaw could return against Fulham on Sunday after missing Thursday's Carabao Cup match against Brighton, though his status remains uncertain, according to coach Michael Carrick. "There is a chance on both really. Not totally 100 per cent yet. It is really short term [with Luke], to be honest, but we're just working towards the game."
Analysis: Shaw has missed the last three matches but could now return to contention for Sunday's trip to Fulham. Manager Michael Carrick described the issue as short term and will make a final assessment before kickoff, giving Shaw a chance to return to the XI before the international break. If he is not cleared in time, Patrick Dorgu should continue at left-back.
