On bench midweek
Desler (Achilles) is among the substitutes for Wednesday's meeting against Seattle Sounders.
Analysis: Desler had been inactive for almost three months due to his injury, and he'll likely make a gradual return to action before recovering a consistent role. The defender will challenge Joseph Rosalesand Przemyslaw Placheta on the right flank but could operate in more of a defensive position depending on formation. Desler previously scored once while tallying 17 clearances and 10 tackles across nine league appearances in 2026.
Available for Seattle clash
Desler (Achilles) is back and available for selection for Wednesday's match against Seattle, according to the MLS Player Status Report.
Analysis: Desler's return comes after he had been building up with parts of training in recent sessions while working back from an Achilles issue. His inclusion in the squad marks the final step in that recovery process after being viewed as a major doubt heading into the week. Desler is expected to be available for selection going forward now that he has cleared his fitness concerns.
