Concedes three goals
Ne'matov logged one save but conceded three goals during Uzbekistan's 3-1 loss Saturday against DR Congo.
Analysis: Once again, Uzbekistan selected Me'matov over Utkir Yusupov in goal. Unfortunately for the former, he logged more goals conceded than saves one more time. Uzbekistan's defense suffered a second-half collapse, featuring goals by Yoane Wissa (two) and Fiston Mayele (one). For the World Cup, Ne'matov stopped five shots but allowed eight, accumulating a 38.5 save percentage that leaves much to be desired.
Scores own goal, concede five
Ne'matov had four saves and allowed five goals, but also 2 an own goal in Tuesday's 5-0 defeat against Portugal.
Analysis: Ne'matov was beaten five times in an absolute drubbing from Portugal, with Uzbekistan conceding three goals before the break and looking overmatched throughout the game. Uzbekistan have allowed eight goals already and will look to end the campaign on a high note against Congo, with their qualification chances looking overly slim.
