Senne Lynen

Returns in cup action

Lynen (abdomen) is available and started Saturday's cup action.

Analysis: Lynen missed the final preseason friendly while dealing with an abdominal muscle issue but progressed well enough to return for Saturday's cup match, where he started. He should be ready for the Bundesliga opener. The defensive-minded midfielder is unlikely to offer much attacking production after finishing last season without a goal or assist, but he remains valuable defensively, recording 63 tackles, 78 interceptions and 96 clearances across 31 starts.
