Makes second-half appearance
Mount had one shot (zero on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Leeds United.
Analysis: Mount entered in central midfield for the closing stages as Manchester United searched for a winning goal. The English midfielder was unable to register a goal contribution during his brief appearance, with the match ending level despite both teams pushing forward late on. His introduction in place of Carlos Baleba highlights his ability to provide an alternative in midfield, although competition for places remains significant with Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, Bruno Fernandes and Baleba.
Could make season debut
Mount (foot) could return to the squad for the upcoming match against Ipswich, according to the Daily Mail.
Analysis: Mount has been sidelined since picking up the injury during the preseason friendly against Paris Saint-Germain, forcing him to miss the final two preseason matches and Saturday's opener against Hull City. The midfielder could be fit again against Ipswich. Mount's creativity, movement and ability to operate in several attacking midfield roles should provide another option if he is cleared to return.
