Helgason has inked a contract until 2029 with Venezia after leaving Lecce as a free agent.

Analysis: Helgason had a good stretch near the end of the 2024/2025 season, while he was an afterthought in the most recent one, appearing just eight times and making one start despite not suffering serious injuries. He'll provide depth in a few different roles in the midfield. He has notched four assists, 19 shots (seven on target), 77 crosses (21 accurate) and 25 key passes in 29 tilts (14 starts) in the last two campaigns combined.
