Training but not ready yet

Guliashvili (leg) trained with the group Thursday but won't be an option for Sunday's match against Getafe, according to manager Jose Alberto Lopez. "We're not going to have any risks with him. We're managing his workload, but we expect him to be ready for the game against Elche."

Analysis: Guliashvili has yet to make his season debut, but the winger is trending in the right direction and should be able to return to the squad as soon as the next match. His return to action shouldn't have a big impact on fantasy, however, as Guliashvili is expected to be a depth option upfront and not much else.

Breakout campaign interrupted

Guliashvili arrived at Racing Santander midseason from Sarajevo and made an immediate impact before a late-season fibula fracture requiring surgery cut his campaign short, contributing six goals and two assists across 17 appearances including 16 starts in 1,131 minutes of La Liga2 action, according to the club.

Analysis: Guliashvili's arrival in the second half of the season proved a significant boost for Racing's promotion push, with the Georgian striker's clinical finishing and physical presence up front adding a new dimension to the attack. His output of six goals in just 17 appearances underlines his efficiency in front of goal, and his performances quickly established him as an important figure in the squad. However, his season was brought to a premature end by a fracture of his right fibula sustained against Valladolid, requiring successful surgery performed in Madrid. The club's medical staff estimates he could return to training before the start of the 2026-27 season, giving Racing hope that their striker will be fully available when La Liga kicks off.
