Scores against former club
Abdelli scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and four chances created in Sunday's 5-2 win over Angers.
Analysis: Abdelli recorded one goal from two shots, putting one on target, while creating four chances and adding one cross across 80 minutes in Sunday's 5-2 victory at Angers. He equalized against his former club in the 37th minute by meeting Timothy Weah's cross with a well-placed header before later releasing Amine Gouiri with a through ball that led to Marseille's penalty early in the second half. Abdelli has now scored in consecutive Ligue 1 appearances after converting a penalty against Troyes last weekend, while his four chances created highlighted his growing influence in Marseille's midfield.
Seems back in squad
Abdelli (not injury related) appears to be back in the fold after training normally this week and is seemingly included in the squad for Sunday's clash against Le Havre, according to Bruno Blanzat of La Provence.
Analysis: Abdelli had been effectively frozen out by coach Habib Beye in recent weeks following reported friction between the two, making his apparent return to the squad a surprise development heading into the final stretch of the season. Whether his reintegration represents a genuine reconciliation or a purely practical decision given Marseille's injury situation remains to be seen, but the Algerian international appears to have been handed another opportunity to contribute before the campaign concludes.
