Leaves late against Napoli
Ostigard had one block, three clearances and two interceptions and won two of two tackles in 66 minutes in Saturday's 2-0 loss against Napoli before exiting due to a physical problem "that doesn't look anything serious," coach Daniele De Rossi stated.
Analysis: Ostigard had an excellent showing in the back, blanketing Rasmus Hojlund, and his absence was felt after the sub, as Genoa hadn't conceded until that point. He'll have a week to recover for Sunday's clash with Lazio; otherwise, Sebastian Otoa will get the nod.
Wins two tackles in loss
Ostigard recorded one shot (zero on goal) in Friday's 4-1 loss versus France. He also added two tackles, an interception, a clearance and a blocked shot.
Analysis: Ostigard, who scored a goal in the opener and came off the bench against Senegal, was tasked with leading the line here but was unable to make a big impact. Ostigard is seen as the third center-back in the pecking order, but he should return to the bench when Norway take on Ivory Coast on Tuesday, June 30, in the Round of 32.
