Makes five saves in defeat
Cleveland registered five saves and allowed three goals in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Real Salt Lake.
Analysis: Cleveland endured another difficult outing in goal for Sporting Kansas City, making five saves but conceding three times as Real Salt Lake secured a comfortable road victory. The goalkeeper was beaten twice inside the opening 14 minutes by Morgan Guilavogui and Sergi Solans before conceding a third goal to Guilavogui in the second half. Despite his five saves, Cleveland was unable to prevent Sporting from suffering another defeat. He has now recorded 78 saves, 50 goals conceded and just one clean sheet across 21 MLS appearances this season. Cleveland will look for a better defensive performance when Sporting Kansas City face Austin FC in their next league fixture.
Beaten twice Saturday
Cleveland had two saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-1 defeat versus New York Red Bulls.
Analysis: Cleveland was beaten twice in the first half -- both times by Jorge Ruvalcaba -- but couldn't do anything in both one-on-one sequences. Cleveland has started ahead of John Pulskamp in Sporting KC's last five games. However, his fantasy upside has been minimal. He's yet to record a clean sheet while allowing 11 goals and making 19 saves in those five outings.
