Back available Friday
Balogun (knee) is an option for Friday's match against Lens, according to the club.
Analysis: Balogun had been closing in on a return, with coach Filipe Luis previously saying he was very close and gradually finding good physical condition through additional sessions. His confirmed availability now marks his first involvement of the season, giving Monaco back a proven attacking option after he recorded 13 goals and four assists across 30 appearances last season.
Could return against Lens
Balogun (knee) could make his first appearance of the season against Lens on Sept. 18 as he continues his individualized training program, according to L'Equipe.
Analysis: Balogun has yet to feature for Monaco this season after returning late from the World Cup and subsequently dealing with a knee issue that has prolonged his return to full training. The problem also reportedly raised concerns during a potential summer move to Everton, but the forward ultimately remained with Monaco. A return against Lens would represent his first competitive appearance of the campaign, though he may initially need his workload managed after such an extended period without match action.
