Leaves national team injured
Geertruida has left the Dutch national team camp due to a minor injury, according to his club.
Analysis: Geertruida is back with PSV after a brief time with the Netherlands national team, as the defender suffered an injury that forced him to withdraw. The good news is that the injury has been deemed minor, unlikely to force a major absence. He is a starter for the club in UCL action, so they will hope he can at least recover ahead of their Oct. 13 match against Leipzig.
Joins PSV on loan
Geertruida has joined PSV on a season long loan from RB Leipzig, with a free option to buy included in the deal, the club announced.
Analysis: Geertruida moved from Feyenoord to Leipzig two years ago before spending last season on loan at Sunderland, where he made 28 Premier League appearances, and he also brings considerable experience from the Champions League and other international competitions. Geertruida is expected to add versatility to PSV's defense given his ability to play across multiple positions at the back.
