Dealt to Napoli
Badiashile is headed to Napoli on loan with an option to buy from Chelsea.
Analysis: Badiashile has had trouble staying healthy and was facing significant competition in recent campaigns at Chelsea and featured just 14 times in the most recent one, posting 11 tackles, 17 interceptions and 32 clearances in 12 appearances, with one clean sheet. He could get some action early at Napoli while Alessandro Buongiorno (knee) is on the shelf, although Sam Beukema and Rafa Marin will also be in the mix.
Option again after illness
Badiashile trained fully with the squad Thursday and is back available for Saturday's clash against Everton, the club posted.
Analysis: Badiashile returned to full team training Thursday and was seen taking part in Robert Sanchez's 100-game celebration, putting him back in the mix for Saturday's showdown against Everton after shaking off his recent illness. The defender is expected to slide back into the bench role he held prior to that brief setback.
