ACL injury confirmed
Cullen (knee) will be sidelined for an extended period as he'll require surgery to repair an ACL problem, the club reported Tuesday
Analysis: Cullen is likely to miss the rest of the season with this issue, dealing a significant blow to Burnley's midfield. Prior to the issue, he started 18 games, scoring two goals and two assists while averaging 40.4 accurate passes and 1.7 tackles per game over that period. Both Florentino Luis and Lesley Ugochukwu may continue to feature in Cullen's absence.
Still missing
Cullen (knee) is out for Tuesday's match against Newcastle.
Analysis: Cullen was set for further testing after he exited the field early Saturday, with the midfielder still not an option due to the apparent knee injury. This results in the loss of a regular starter as the club awaits a further diagnosis, with Florentino Luis making his way back into the starting XI due to his absence.
