Substitute option Saturday

Foster (not injury related) is on the bench for Saturday's duel versus Sporting Kansas City.

Analysis: Foster will aim to make his MLS debut following his transfer to Houston from English side Burnley after the World Cup. He should eventually have a decent chance to become the squad's main center-forward, but he'll initially split workload with Guilherme and Duncan McGuire. The new signing had made 89 appearances for his previous club over the last few Premier League and Championship seasons, scoring 11 goals and 10 assists over that period.

Struggles against Mexico

Foster registered one shot (zero on goal) in Thursday's 2-0 defeat against Mexico.

Analysis: Foster is expected to lead Bafana Bafana's attack, but he didn't have much impact in this game and couldn't even register a shot on target. The Burnley striker will hope to have better luck in the team's next two games, as his role as the main striker in the South African squad is not in question.
