Registers two crosses
Reguilon registered two crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 3-1 win over Atlanta United.
Analysis: Reguilon would play the full 90 minutes Saturday during the win, notching a chance created and two crosses in the attack to go along with an interception and four clearances in the defense. This would be his fourth straight start since returning from injury, back in his role at left-back. He should keep this role heading into the playoffs, that is, if he can remain fit following a season of injuries.
Suffers new injury
Reguilon subbed off in the second half of Saturday's 2-1 loss to Toronto after picking up an apparent injury, Franco Panizo of Miami Total Futbol reports.
Analysis: Reguilon's physical difficulties have been a constant limitation throughout his first MLS season, but he had started in eight of the last nine league game weeks prior to this appearance. The severity of his current issue is still unclear, making his status a doubt for upcoming matches. If he's eventually ruled out, his place in the starting lineup could be taken by Noah Allen.
First MLS goal off bench
Reguilon scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Saturday's 4-2 win over Toronto FC.
Analysis: Reguilon checked in during the 68th minute and wasted no time making an impact, bagging his first MLS goal in the 73rd by finishing off a Lionel Messi assist to push the score to 4-0 and effectively ice the game before Toronto's late push trimmed the margin. He logged one goal while flashing sharp movement down the left flank in his 22-minute run, applying pressure on Toronto's right side and holding his own defensively as Miami closed things out. Reguilon now has one goal through three MLS appearances since joining the squad, and his two-way ability gives coach Guillermo Hoyos a steady option at left-back as long as he can stay healthy after dealing with injuries since preseason.
Option Saturday
Reguilon (hamstring) is on the bench for Saturday's match against Toronto.
Analysis: Reguilon was back in training this week, so it is no surprise to see the defender back in the team sheet. He is still a decent left-back, especially for MLS standards, so he will likely eye a starting role in the coming games. However, he is known to be injury-prone, so they may take his return cautiously.
Back in training
Reguilon (hamstring) was pictured back in training for Inter Miami, per the Inter Miami News Hub.
Analysis: Reguilon is back in training and will look to be fit for the trip to Toronto on Saturday following his hamstring injury. Injuries remain an issue for the defender, only playing twice this season, starting both times with just 113 minutes of play.
