Scores lone goal in defeat
Calheira scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Saturday's 3-1 loss against Real Salt Lake.
Analysis: Calheira provided Sporting Kansas City's only goal of the match, converting a pass from Andre Luiz in the 26th minute to reduce the deficit to 2-1. The forward attempted two shots, putting one on target, and delivered one cross during his 73-minute appearance, but Sporting were unable to complete the comeback. Calheira has now recorded four goals, two assists and 16 chances created across 22 MLS appearances this season, including 13 starts. His latest goal strengthens his case for continued involvement in the attacking rotation, although competition for starting opportunities remains.
