Dealing with ankle knock
Mora is at risk of missing Mexico's international friendly game against the USA due to an ankle issue he picked up during his previous appearance versus Colombia, Enrique Martinez of Milenio reports.
Analysis: Mora will hope to avoid a major issue as his current injury is not believed to be a significant problem, but perhaps it will be enough to rule him out for the remainder of the international break. He was in excellent form before this blow, scoring five goals and adding one assist over his last six matches played considering both club and country. The national team call-up led to his absence in the last Liga MX match, where Aldahir Perez and Jose Ignacio Rivero started in central midfield slots, and those players would be the likeliest beneficiaries if the youngster carries fitness issues or fatigue after the international window.
Out following World Cup
Mora is out for Thursday's game against Tigres as he recovers from the World Cup.
Analysis: Mora was not called up for the match against Tigres on Thursday, as the midfielder is still taking some time to return to play following his solid run with Mexico at the World Cup. He will likely return within the next week or two, likely to play a major role in the middle of the pitch. He was solid when an option last year, recording six goals and one assist in 20 appearances (17 starts).
