Contributes at both ends
Vuskovic registered two shots (zero on goal) in Sunday's 4-0 victory against Aston Villa.
Analysis: Vuskovic registered two shots in Sunday's 4-0 win over Aston Villa, contributing offensively from centre-back during Brighton's dominant second half when his side had the freedom to push players forward against Villa's ten-man defensive block. The young Croatian defender's willingness to carry the ball forward and contribute in the attacking phase gives Brighton an additional dimension from the back, and his development as a ball-playing center-back under coach Fabian Hurzeler makes him one of the most exciting young defenders in the Premier League heading into the 2026-27 campaign.
Links back with Tottenham
Vuskovic will return to parent club Tottenham following the conclusion of his loan spell at Hamburger.
Analysis: Vuskovic made 28 Bundesliga appearances including 27 starts across 2,441 minutes, contributing six goals alongside a dominant defensive output of 22 tackles, 40 interceptions and 251 clearances in what was an outstanding individual campaign. Vuskovic was representing Croatia at the World Cup, having made one appearance across 66 minutes, and will return to Tottenham following the conclusion of the tournament where new coach Roberto De Zerbi is expected to assess him as part of his first-team plans heading into the 2026/27 season.
