Likely available against Rayo
Garcia (muscle) was spotted participating in Getafe's team training session Sunday and is expected to be an option for Monday's La Liga clash against Rayo Vallecano after being forced off during Thursday's Conference League draw against Universitatea Craiova, the club posted.
Analysis: Garcia appears to have avoided a significant setback after experiencing muscular discomfort earlier in the week, which forced him to leave Thursday's European encounter at halftime. The defender had already been dealing with muscle tightness before that contest, raising concerns about his ability to recover in time for Monday's league fixture. However, his participation in Sunday's team training session suggests he has made encouraging progress and should be available for selection against Rayo Vallecano. Garcia could retain his usual role on the right flank if fully fit, although his recent discomfort and the new addition of Dani Carvajal may prompt the coaching staff to manage his workload carefully.
Unused from bench
Garcia (hamstring) was unused off the bench in Thursday's 1-0 win over Lille.
Analysis: Garcia made a return to the team sheet Thursday, shaking off a hamstring injury he picked up a few weeks ago. However, the defender would not see the field, instead going unused the full 90. He has only appeared in three games off the bench all season and is more of a depth option, likely to remain in this role after the injury.
