First assist with Sociedad
Fort had an assist with his lone chance created while crossing once inaccurately during Sunday's 5-2 win over Malaga.
Analysis: Fort set up Take Kubo in the 3rd minute assisting the opening goal of the match. The assist and start were both the first in La Liga this season for Fort as he recently returned from a knee injury.
Returns to Barcelona from loan
Fort has returned to Barcelona after his season-long loan at Elche expired on June 30.
Analysis: Fort spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Elche after falling behind Jules Kounde and Eric Garcia in Barcelona's right-back pecking order, and he departed the club with a heartfelt farewell message thanking them for helping him become a better player. He's now back for pre-season, where there's some expectation that coach Hansi Flick could give him a look given the club's crowded right-back options, though Kounde, Eric Garcia, and now Xavi Espart all stand in his way of regular minutes. Given that logjam, a fresh loan move elsewhere for the 2026-27 season remains the more likely outcome
