Mfuni is back with Manchester City following his loan with Watford.

Analysis: Mfuni is returning to City after half a season with Watford, but not going as planned after an ankle injury ended his campaign short. He would still see eight appearances with the club, all of which were starts, coming after he earned a goal and an assist in 18 appearances with Manchester City 2 ahead of his Watford move. That said, the 18-year-old has already featured in a first-team match with City, getting time in an FA Cup match last season, so he is in their plans. However, they want to let him grow a bit more, as he is set for at least another season or two of senior loans to gain experience, more likely to join the first team around age 21 or 20, as did his teammate Max Alleyne.
