Subbed early after key mistake
Ordonez had four clearances in Tuesday's 2-0 loss to Mexico.
Analysis: Ordonez struggled in his last game and was not at his best, with his error directly leading to Mexico's second goal before he was substituted at half time. It was a cruel end for a centre back who had been solid enough defensively throughout the tournament. He finishes with five tackles, one interception, 18 clearances and three blocks across three games, but a clean sheet never came his way across his appearances as he didn't start against Curacao.
Wins three tackles vs Germany
Ordonez recorded three tackles (three won) and six clearances in Thursday's 2-1 victory against Germany.
Analysis: Ordonez helped ensure Germany managed only one goal, delivering three key tackles and six clearances in the 2-1 victory that sent Ecuador into the Round of 32. Returning to the lineup after Piero Hincapie shifted to center back against Curacao and Pervis Estupinan stepped into the starting XI, the defender has remained steady across his 180 minutes of group‑stage action, totaling 14 clearances and 10 duels won while reinforcing Ecuador's defensive stability.
