Seven saves against New York City
Celentano made seven saves and allowed one goal in Wednesday's 2-1 win versus New York City FC.
Analysis: Celentano was FC Cincinnati's busiest player in Wednesday's 2-1 win over NYCFC, making seven saves across 90 minutes to keep his side in the match throughout a game where NYCFC generated sustained attacking pressure and registered multiple clear-cut chances, with his best stops coming to deny Luighi twice from close range after the Brazilian's equalizer. The American goalkeeper has now gone ten consecutive MLS matches without a clean sheet and made 15 saves across his last three appearances, a workload that reflects the defensive vulnerability his side is managing, but Wednesday's win keeps Cincinnati fifth in the Eastern Conference heading into the Seattle Sounders fixture.
Makes seven saves against Orlando
Celentano recorded seven saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 6-2 victory over Orlando City.
Analysis: Celentano failed to stop a couple of set-piece shots, but he was very active between the posts Saturday, registering his second-most saves in a single game over 13 matches played this campaign. The keeper has had a tough initial stretch of the season, playing behind a vulnerable back line that has allowed at least four shots on target in each game while ranking 29th in the league with 37 goals against. Up next is a difficult test against Vancouver in the first game week after the World Cup break.
