Heads back to England
Takai will return to parent club Tottenham following the conclusion of his loan spell at Gladbach.
Analysis: Takai made eight Bundesliga appearances across 339 minutes for Gladbach, contributing 11 tackles and 20 clearances in a rotational role throughout the campaign. Takai now heads back to Tottenham where his future under new coach Roberto De Zerbi will be assessed heading into the 2026/27 season.
Plays with U21s
Takai (foot) participated in a U221 match on Tuesday, according to his club.
Analysis: Takai took to the field Tuesday for the first time as a Spur, with the defender earning time in a U21 match as he recovers from a foot injury. This is massive news for the defender, as he is yet to debut this campaign due to injury. He is unlikely to earn much time as a starter once fully fit, although the club will be happy to add some depth to their defensive department in the coming matches.
