Signs contract extension until 2030
Rego has signed a contract extension with Athletic Club until June 2030, the club announced.
Analysis: Rego made 41 appearances in his breakthrough debut season, including all eight Champions League fixtures, making him the only outfield player to feature in every match of the competition. Rego, who progressed through Lezama after joining at U15 level, made his first-team debut in the opening match of the 2025/26 season against Sevilla and scored his first senior goal in a vital victory over Mallorca.
