Five crosses in away loss

Lucas Pires had one shot (one on goal), five crosses (zero accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 2-0 loss versus Brighton.

Analysis: Lucas Pires attempted five crosses but was unable to complete any. He also took two corners, bringing him up to the joint-third highest set-piece taker for Burnley. The full-back has only started five matches this season. The defender also got the first shot on target of the season in this game, coming from his seventh shot of the campaign.

Back from suspension

Pires is no longer suspended and is an option moving forward for the club.

Analysis: Pires has served his suspension due to the red card he received against Newcastle and is set to return in the next contest. The defender started the last game but has mainly been a bench option this season for the Clarets, therefore his return for Saturday's clash against Bournemouth is unlikely to impact much the starting XI.
