Misses match through illness

Ouattara missed Friday's 1-1 draw against Benin through illness but will hope to be back available for Monday's clash against Central African Republic, according to coach Amir Abdou, per Lassina Sawadogo. "I still had two key players who were a bit sick, and after that there was also Dango, we had to change the lineup the day before, since Dango also got sick, that's still three fairly important players for this team, that's how it is, hoping to get Dango back quickly for the next match, I'll check in with the doctors, the players will recover."

Analysis: Ouattara has started only two of Brentford's five matches to open the season, a drop off from last year when he started 25 of 32 appearances, and has yet to record a goal or assist this season. His illness now adds a further complication to his path back into regular rythmn, with hopes he could be back in contention for Monday's clash against Central African Republic.

Scores brace to rescue draw

Ouattara scored two goals to go with five shots (three on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace.

Analysis: Ouattara struck twice to drag Brentford back for a 2-2 draw, first getting a bit of fortune as Jaydee Canvot's clearance ricocheted off Yehor Yarmoliuk's cross and into the net right before halftime, then rising to meet Michael Kayode's long throw and powering a header in after Sepp van den Berg's flick in the 88th minute. He stood out as the only player on either side to finish the match with multiple goals and earned recognition as Brentford's top performer over the full 90. Ouattara now sits on seven Premier League goals this season, matching his total from last year with Bournemouth, and he will be aiming to set a new personal best in Sunday's season finale against Liverpool.
