Earns clean sheet versus Pumas
Rangel recorded five saves and allowed zero goals in Sunday's 3-0 win versus Pumas.
Analysis: Rangel benefited from the poor quality of the opponents' efforts to secure another productive performance during the win. He has now kept consecutive clean sheets for the first time this season, recording an improvement over his erratic opening stretch. Additionally, he has saved at least four shots in each of his last three games. Up next is a crucial rivalry match against an America offense that scored multiple goals in all of the previous five league contests.
Allows two goals to Xolos
Rangel had two saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 5-2 win versus Tijuana.
Analysis: Rangel was beaten by a couple of late strikes, finishing with a mediocre outing despite his side's overwhelming victory. He has made exactly two saves in each of his last three Liga MX appearances, lowering his average to 2.6 saves per contest over the Apertura tournament. His next chance to look for his third clean sheet of the season will come in a tricky visit to Pachuca, who have scored three goals across two home games this season.
