Option again for Timbers
Mosquera (knee) was an unused substitute in Wednesday's 2-2 draw against Montreal, confirming his return to the matchday squad after missing 10 of Portland's first 11 MLS matches this season with various injuries.
Analysis: Mosquera's inclusion in the squad is a clean bill of health heading into upcoming fixtures, with his return giving coach Phil Neville more defensive options to call upon. The defender made his lone appearance at right-back earlier in the season and could push to challenge Brandon Bye for that role once he gets back up to full match sharpness through further appearances off the bench.
Expected back for SKC match
Mosquera (knee) is likely to miss one more week before returning for the May 9 clash against Sporting Kansas City, according to coach Phil Neville, Jeremy Peterman of Cascadia FC reports.
Analysis: Mosquera has missed nine of 10 MLS games this season due to different injuries, but he's getting closer to a full return. The defender made his lone appearance as a right-back, so he could be used in Brandon Bye's place once he's ready to start. In that case, Mosquera will be reliable for crosses and a few defensive stats.
