Not yet physically ready for opener
Bamba (undisclosed) will miss Saturday's season opener at Nice as he's not yet physically ready, according to coach Alexandre Dujeux.
Analysis: Bamba has not featured at all during preseason, and he's the only absence from an otherwise nearly complete Lorient squad heading into the match. Once he returns to fitness, he's expected to add depth to Lorient's attacking options as the forward works his way back into contention for a role up front.
Fir for finale
Bamba (foot) is an option for Sunday's match against Le Havre, according to Baptiste Cogne of Ouest France.
Analysis: Bamba was potentially set to miss the rest of the season but will be fit for the finale, clearing his foot injury. Despite his limited role lately, this is a good move for the forward, as he could find a few minutes from the bench. He has recorded one shot and two assists in 18 appearances (seven starts) this season.
