Assists off bench
Biro scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and one chance created in Wednesday's 2-1 victory against Seattle Sounders FC.
Analysis: Biro received a rare appearance off the bench due to workload management, entering for the final half hour and scoring the match-winner on Wednesday. It was just his second goal of the season to go along with one assist. He has remained an important piece for the club, making 15 starts in 17 MLS appearances while totaling 20 tackles, 54 clearances, and nine blocks.
Assists opener Saturday
Biro assisted once to go with one cross (one accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Sporting Kansas City.
Analysis: Biro helped open up the scoring Saturday as his cross in the 45th minute assisted Mikkel Desler's strike to take the 1-0 lead into halftime. It marked his second goal contribution of the season and his first since April 4. He was active on the defensive end too, recording eight clearances and three interceptions in his full 90 minutes of action.
Avoids injury absence
Biro (leg) is in the initial lineup for Saturday's game against Houston Dynamo.
Analysis: Biro left the previous match with discomfort, but he didn't suffer a serious injury, retaining his place on the left flank of Austin's back four. The wide player could be somewhat reliable for defensive production and occasional shots if he avoids any physical setbacks going forward. Zan Kolmanic will continue to offer backup in case Biro is not ready to play 90 minutes.
Subs off early against San Jose
Biro left with discomfort in Wednesday's meeting with San Jose Earthquakes.
Analysis: Biro took some damage to his right leg, potentially suffering a muscle injury during the midweek matchup. He's Austin's favored left-back, so losing him would be a significant blow for the team if he continues to deal with the issue in the future. Zan Kolmanic came off the bench Wednesday, so he should be the main replacement option in the event of Biro's absence.
