Moves to Benfica
Circati has left Parma to join Benfica on a permanent deal.
Analysis: Circati departs Parma after five years and with one solid campaign in Serie A under his belt, as he was a stalwart and contributed to 11 clean sheets in 31 matches, becoming a regular for Australia as well. He'll get to play in Europe at Benfica, while his former team will lean on Mariano Troilo, Lautaro Valenti and Abdoulaye Ndiaye until they find a replacement.
Five clearances in loss to Egypt
Circati registered one shot (zero on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Friday's 1-1 (5-3) penalty shootout defeat versus Egypt. He also added five clearances and two tackles.
Analysis: Despite being a center-back, Circati proved to be heavily involved in offense. The Parma defender was one of two center-backs to play every single minute of World Cup action for the Socceroos, with Harry Souttar being the other. Circati finished the World Cup with 19 clearances, 10 tackles, six blocked shots, two interceptions, two clean sheets and three shots off target.
