Undergoes surgery
Lopez (ACL) underwent surgery and is now working his way back to fitness.
Analysis: Lopez was set for evaluation due to an ACL issue and was no pictured post surgery. The midfielder is set to miss an extended period of time, and will be out for a portion of the 2026/27 season if the injury is as serious as is feared. Lopez scored four goals and added one assists in 34 appearances (20 starts) last season.
Dealing ACL issue
Lopez is dealing with an ACL injury and is set for further evaluations, according to his club.
Analysis: Lopez went down in the season finale with a knee injury, and it now appears to be serious, as he was diagnosed with an ACL injury. Unfortunately for the player, this could mean surgery is on the horizon, potentially cutting out a major portion of the next season. However, the attacker is still in need of further evaluation, so he could only need rest during the offseason and be fit for the next campaign.
