Théo Le Bris

Signs contract extension through 2029

Le Bris has signed a two-year contract extension with Lorient, keeping the versatile wing-back at the club until June 2029 after making 110 appearances across all competitions, including 90 in Ligue 1, according to the club.

Analysis: Le Bris has committed his long-term future to Lorient after establishing himself as a valuable squad member capable of operating in multiple positions. The 24-year-old has featured in the first five opening Ligue 1 matches this season, making two starts and three substitute appearances while recording 273 minutes without a goal or assist. He has been sharing playing time with Panos Katseris, limitating his role in the last two games but his versatility allows coach Alexandre Dujeux to deploy him in different roles depending on the team's needs. His contract extension reflects Lorient's confidence in his development and importance to the squad, although it does not necessarily guarantee an increased starting role in the short term.
