Keeps clean sheet versus Palace
Verbruggen registered one save and secured a clean sheet in Sunday's 5-0 victory versus Crystal Palace.
Analysis: Verbruggen got down well to stop a powerful effort, but his side's dominance meant he was rarely tested otherwise. The clean sheet extended an impressive run as the Seagulls have won six straight matches in all competitions, and Verbruggen has played in five of them without conceding. Adding 13 saves during that period, he has emerged as one of the league's most in-form goalkeepers. Upcoming trips to Jablonec in the UEFA Conference League and Liverpool in EPL action will provide very different tests, with the latter likely to challenge his current form.
Secures clean sheet
Verbruggen registered no saves and allowed zero goals in Sunday's 4-0 victory versus Aston Villa.
Analysis: Verbruggen was not required to make a save in Sunday's 4-0 win over Aston Villa, keeping a clean sheet in the season opener. The goalkeeper had little defensive work to do but remained involved through his distribution and command of the area. Verbruggen will look to build on the strong start when Brighton face Chelsea in their next Premier League fixture.
