Will skip Genoa game

Folorunsho was omitted from Napoli's call-ups to face Genoa on Saturday.

Analysis: Folorunsho was omitted from the squad, as his name has popped up in the rumor mill in the last few days, as he could be on the move again after Cagliari didn't retain him, even though he had a solid campaign in 2025/2026.

Not acquired by Cagliari

Folorunsho is returning to Napoli, as Cagliari didn't activate their option to buy.

Analysis: Folorunsho was a linchpin for most of the campaign, scoring twice and adding 36 shots (nine on target), 14 chances created, and 22 crosses (four accurate) in 27 showings (24 starts). However, his price tag was deemed too expensive. He'll be judged by new Napoli coach Massimiliano Allegri during the summer to see whether he could come in handy as a backup.
