Makes two blocks in loss
Pongracic generated one tackle (one won) and two clearances in Thursday's 2-1 loss to Portugal.
Analysis: Pongracic led Croatia in blocks during the match, but couldn't help them avoid the late loss after conceding during stoppage time. The centerback logged his third start and third appearance in the game. He finished the campaign with 20 clearances over that span.
90 minutes played Saturday
Pongracic registered one shot (zero on goal) in Saturday's 2-1 win over Ghana.
Analysis: Pongracic delivered a solid outing on Saturday, winning three tackles and recording seven clearances in Croatia's 2-1 victory over Ghana. After only entering the lineup in the second group‑stage match against Panama, he has now started the last two fixtures and shown steady defensive presence. Across those appearances, he has maintained a 91 percent pass accuracy, produced 18 clearances, and won four tackles. Given Portugal's strong attacking threat, he remains a highly likely starter at center back for Thursday's Round of 32 matchup.
