One save in shootout win
Shobeir had one save and allowed one goal in Friday's 1-1 (5-3) penalty shootout win against Australia.
Analysis: Shobeir didn't stop a single penalty in the shootout and didn't have a lot of work throughout the game. The goalkeeper has been decent so far in the tournament -- out of the four goals the team has conceded, two have been own goals. Shobeir will remain between the posts for the Round of 16 match against Argentina on Tuesday.

Analysis: Shobeir produced two impressive saves and pulled off a penalty stop to deny Mehdi Taremi but aerial crosses proved a problem for him throughout the game and he came close to paying the price, only for an offside flag to spare him late on. He has still been one of Egypt's most reliable performers in the tournament, making nine saves and conceding just three goals despite not recording a clean sheet, and will fancy his chances of adding one in the first knockout game against an Australia side that failed to score in two of their three group stage games.
