Scores winning goal Saturday
Isak scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) in Saturday's 2-1 win against Brentford.
Analysis: Isak scored Liverpool's winning goal with a close-range shot after a setup from Bradley Barcola. The Swedish forward, who missed the win over LASK Linz in the UEFA Champions League, is off to an excellent start to the season, with five goals in six EPL starts so far in 2026/27.
Makes starting XI
Isak (thigh) is in the starting XI for Saturday's match against Brentford.
Analysis: Isak returns to the lineup after a thigh injury sustained while representing Sweden kept him out against Manchester City and LASK. The striker has recovered sufficiently to start after his availability had depended on a late fitness assessment. His return provides an important boost to Liverpool's attacking options, although his minutes could still be managed after missing the previous two matches.
