Scores winner off bench
Dembele scored one goal and assisted once from four shots and two chances created in Saturday's 3-1 win versus Strasbourg.
Analysis: Dembele was rested from the starting lineup ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash against Barcelona but made a decisive impact after his introduction. The winger attempted four shots and created two chances, missing a penalty in the 72nd minute before scoring PSG's go-ahead goal with a powerful strike in the 86th minute. He also registered an assist as Paris completed its comeback. Dembele now has one goal, two assists, 20 shots and 11 chances created across five Ligue 1 appearances this season, while his involvement in set pieces provides another avenue for attacking contributions.
Rested against Le Mans
Dembele will be rested for the Ligue 1 clash against Le Mans and is scheduled to resume training Saturday, Oct. 10, ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash against Manchester City, according to the club.
Analysis: Dembele will sit out the clash against Le Mans as part of a planned rest period following a demanding international break with France, during which he played approximately 260 minutes. The forward is expected to return to training Saturday, giving him several days to prepare for Wednesday's Champions League matchup against Manchester City. Dembele has registered one assist, nine chances created and no goals across four Ligue 1 appearances this season. Desire Doue could be handed a starting role as the central striker against Le Mans in his absence.
