Nets winner from spot
Lewandowski scored one goal to go with three shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Wednesday's 2-1 victory against Orlando City SC.
Analysis: Lewandowski converted from the spot to provide the winning goal for Chicago Fire, and it was fitting as the striker drew the penalty foul in the first place. He's got a great matchup looming to continue scoring, as New York Red Bulls have allowed a whopping 42 goals through 20 matches.
Completes Chicago Fire switch
Lewandowski has completed a permanent transfer to Chicago Fire on Monday.
Analysis: Lewandowski scored 14 goals and provided two assists across 31 appearances (17 starts) with FC Barcelona in the 2025/26 season, and he should be a massive, instant success at the MLS level as long as he stays healthy. Lewandowski should be Chicago's starting striker as soon as the MLS season resumes following the 2026 World Cup. He scored 120 goals and added 24 assists across 193 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona, and he's also the all-time leading scorer for Poland with 89 goals in 167 caps.
