Iran's standout in group stage
Rezaeian scored one goal to go with three shots (one on goal), four crosses (zero accurate) and two corners in Friday's 1-1 draw against Egypt.
Analysis: Rezaeian closed out the tournament as Iran's best performer and most important contributor despite operating at right back. His goal against Egypt meant he had a hand in all three of Iran's goals across the group stage, finishing with two goals and one assist. He also held his defensive responsibilities well, collecting six tackles and two interceptions throughout the tournament.
Delivers three crosses Sunday
Rezaeian had three crosses (two accurate) and two corners in Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Belgium.
Analysis: Rezaeian produced a few creative stats, as he took each of his team's corner kicks during an otherwise difficult test. Despite being used in a more offensive position on the right wing, Rezaeian failed to build on his goal and assist from the opening match. Still, he remains one of Iran's most reliable performers due to his significant playing time and set-piece tasks, along with a few defensive numbers given his side's non-aggressive play style.
